[Warded to Mr. Percy Weasley] I know it's not precisely your department, sir, but- well, my aunt always told me that if you really wanted something done, go to the top. And so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
Adrian Pucey's been boasting about abusing his House Elf publicly in these journals. I confronted him about it, which led to vulgar and inappropriate suggestions from him and an argument from Miss Melinda Bobbin that Pucey's written statement doesn't constitute legal proof that abuse is occurring. And while that is, of course, perfectly true, I was hoping you might think it enough to warrant an investigation into the matter, considering his history? The idea of allowing him to not only get away with flaunting the new Elfish Rights, but to actually boast about it under our noses with no repercussions...it troubles me deeply, sir. And I can't stand the thought of the poor Elf's suffering. I was hoping you might feel the same?
[Warded to Hermione] I've a note in to Mr. Weasley about doing something through legal channels for Pucey's poor House Elf, but if that doesn't work out....can we revive S.P.E.W. and stage a protest?

Someone's got to make overtures, Susan Bones, and it's going to have to be you. Deep breath and smile and...
[Private to Marietta Edgecomb]
Hello there. We ought to get started on this party planning, don't you think? I thought maybe we could have a planning session at my house after work some night this week. I'll provide dinner if you're willing! Just bring a list of everyone in your department, I'll get similar lists of the others from Mr. Weasley.

[Warded to (former) Hufflepuffs]
Mr. Percy Weasley asked me to plan a party for the entire Ministry! Me, personally! For everyone! Eeeee!
Except he also asked Marietta Edgecomb.

Dear "Lounge Vigilante;"
First off, I would truly rather have made this offer in person, but as I'm not quite certain who exactly you are- are you sure it's in line with policy to send anonymous memos to every person in the building?- I thought perhaps a note on the journals would be more effective, as they are, after all, intended for casual chit-chat and personal discussion in a way that inter-office memos are not, and I do hate to be a bother to the rest of the employees who turn out not to be you.
That said, I can't imagine how horrid it must be to lose one's lunch! If it happens again, you are more than welcome to share mine. I promise you that I'm a competent cook and a healthy eater! Please do drop me a note any time you're in need of a substitute meal, and we'll figure something out.
Yours, Susan Bones, MoM DMAC MLO Assistant to the Director
P.S. I'm sure you don't realize it, dear, but the term 'vigilante' has such negative connotations, especially when one works for the government! If you truly hate to be known by your own name, don't you think a more benign and less anti-establishment handle would better reflect your person and intentions?

It was a lovely day today. Here's to everyone who isn't here to see it. And another to everyone who is!
